The spider plant (Chlorophytum comosum) is an easy-care houseplant that grows well in mineral substrate. Here is a brief care guide for a spider plant in mineral substrate:

  1. Location: Place the spider plant in a bright spot protected from direct sunlight. A window with indirect sunlight is ideal.
  2. Temperature: The spider plant thrives best at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C. It tolerates occasional temperature fluctuations.
  3. Watering: Keep the substrate evenly moist but avoid waterlogging. Water only when the top layer of soil starts to dry out. Generally, it is better to underwater than overwater, as spider plants tolerate dryness better than excessive moisture. We recommend watering with 1/3 water over the substrate and 2/3 over the water tank.
  4. Fertilizing: Fertilize the plant every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced houseplant fertilizer. Reduce or stop fertilizing in autumn and winter.
  5. Humidity: Spider plants do not require high humidity but do well under normal indoor conditions. Occasional misting of the leaves can help remove dust and keep the plant looking fresh.
  6. Leaf care: Regularly remove discolored or dead leaves to keep the plant healthy.
  7. Propagation: You can propagate the spider plant by dividing the roots or removing plantlets (young offsets).
  8. Pests and diseases: Spider plants are generally resistant to pests. If they do occur, remove them manually or treat the plant with an insecticide. Watch for signs of root rot and respond early to maintain the plant's health.

If you follow these care tips, your spider plant will thrive healthy and beautiful in mineral substrate.
