A secret of the AIRY system lies in three special materials that help you breathe healthier: zeolite, lava, and pumice.
Regional extraction, minimal CO₂ footprint
Pumice and lava come from the Vulkaneifel – directly from Germany. The big advantage: their CO₂ footprint is over 90% lower than that of expanded materials like expanded clay or expanded shale.
Zeolite is sourced from Slovakia – the next suitable mining area from Germany. Here, too, extraction is done via open-pit mining.
Sustainable and fair: environmentally friendly raw material extraction
When selecting our materials, we pay attention not only to performance but also to origin. The working conditions in the mining areas are fair and safe, and nature is protected through reforestation.
100% natural, non-toxic, and very effective
Our AIRY substrate is a 100% natural biofilter – completely non-toxic and at the same time highly effective: pollutants are bound and metabolized through the plant roots. This creates a natural cycle for air purification indoors.
More effect through smart structure
- The fine-pored stones with their coarse grain ensure optimal root aeration.
- They store water efficiently and gradually release it to the plant roots.
- Odors and pollutants get trapped in the porous structure through continuous air supply.
- The so-called capillary effect ensures that pollutants are absorbed and broken down by the root – completely without residues.
Durable and low-maintenance – no replacement needed
Unlike industrial filters or activated carbon, our substrate does not need to be replaced.
Because: the plant in the AIRY system continuously cleans the substrate itself.
To make it easy for you to use, it is delivered multiple times sieved and washed.
Breathe naturally – with a good feeling
It is important to us that you can breathe deeply not only at home or in the office but also with a clear conscience. Because our AIRY substrate is produced environmentally friendly and responsibly mined.
P.S.: Speaking of good air: Did you know that zeolite is mixed into cow feed so they fart less? And that it improves the air in the barn when scattered?
