Caring for a dragon tree (Dracaena) requires a few special measures to keep the plant healthy and happy.

Here are a few care tips:

  1. Light: Dracaena love bright, indirect sunlight. Place the plant in a spot where it gets enough light, but avoid direct sunlight to prevent leaf burn.

  2. Temperature: Keep the room temperature constant between 18°C and 24°C. Dragon trees do not like sudden temperature changes.

  3. Watering: Allow the mineral substrate to dry out slightly between waterings. Dragon trees are susceptible to root rot if watered too often or too heavily. It is best to water mainly via the water tank.

  4. Humidity: Dracaena do well with normal room humidity, but misting the leaves every now and then can help them stay healthy.

  5. Fertilization: During the growing season (spring and summer), fertilize your dragon tree every 4-6 weeks with a balanced liquid fertilizer. In winter, you can reduce fertilization or even stop it altogether.

Follow these tips to ensure your dragon tree is healthy and happy growing in a mineral substrate. Remember that each plant has individual needs, so be sure to regularly monitor for signs of problems and respond accordingly.
